February is the month of romance. So, have romance be your style this month!  Pick your color palette, and then start styling! I have decided to use shades of pink and white as my accent color. I love to honor Valentines Day, but don’t feel the need to overdue it. I will pick elements that represent love and romance and place them throughout the house.

I’ll concentrate on styling the key areas of my home: front door, entryway table, mantle and dining room table. I don’t always style all of them at the same time, but these are the key focal points in my home.

Wreaths and other welcoming elements are great for the front door.  Also I like to bring in those elements and use them for entertaining.  My dining room table has a long mirror on it and I will place dove birds, candles at varying heights, battery operated candles (www.grandinroad.com for LED, scented, wax battery operated candles from Susie Coelho Signature Collection.  I use them all over the house and don’t have to worry about any safety issues!).  I’ll dim the lights, light the candles or switch on the battery operated ones and have a lovely dinner with my family. I’ve been throwing more and more dinner parties these days because, after all these years, I have a new kitchen.  It’s a perfect spot to entertain!

Whether it’s with your children, husband or other loved ones, set the stage for your Valentine’s Day romance.

Keep Creating! It’s the Joy of Life!
