Versatile Quick Dry for Oil Paintings from Krylon® Allows Paintings to Dry Two to Three Times Faster

CLEVELAND—As any painter knows, it can take a long time for oil paintings to thoroughly dry, and there are often instances – such as when the artist is ready to add a highlight or needs to transport the artwork – when there is a need quicken the drying process. With Krylon®’s new Quick Dry for Oil Paintings, artists now have access to a market-unique spray that safely speeds oil paint dry time by two to three times.

Unlike liquid mediums that tend to yellow, Quick Dry will not cause yellowing, and it provides exceptional flexibility in that can be used at any stage of the art creation process. Quick Dry can be mixed into the paint on a palette to improve flow and dry time. For example, instead of waiting nearly a week for the next step, artists may only need to wait a day or two. It can be added between paint layers to prevent blending or to add highlights. And when a painting is completed, Quick Dry can be sprayed in several light coats so the artwork can be sold or exhibited faster.

Like other products in Krylon’s new Gallery Series™ line, Quick Dry contains powerful UV protection. For complete artwork protection, it is compatible with other Gallery Series products, and a final varnish should be applied once the painting is completely dry.
