An Eggcelent Centerpiece

Materials

  • Krylon Fusion Fairytale Pink (#2331)
  • Krylon Fusion Satin Peekaboo Blue (#2443)
  • Krylon Fusion Gum Drop (#2342)
  • Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Ivy Leaf (#51515)
-  60 plastic eggs (have more ready if needed)
-  Foam cone
-  Spoon
-  Pot/planter
-  Paper towel tube or wood dowel
-  Spanish moss
-  Small faux flowers

General Supplies

-  Hot Glue
-  Newspaper or Drop Cloth

Instructions

  1. Set up a spray and work area by covering a table or other work surface with newspaper or drop cloth in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Paint equal number of eggs, 20 of each color: Fairytale Pink, Peekaboo Blue, Gum Drop. Let dry.
  3. Hot glue cardboard tube or dowel as a post inside the pot in the center.
  4. Paint pot and post “Ivy Leaf.” Let dry.
  5. Using the spoon to carve a hole inside base of foam cone. 
  6. Impale cone over post and glue in place.
  7. Starting at base of cone, glue on eggs in rows to the top, alternating colors.
  8. Fill gaps between eggs with small faux flowers (or moss).
  9. Fill pot with moss.

Tips

-Measure the height of eggs and number of rows wanted. Then cut foam cone to size if needed.
-When gluing on eggs, place four at first in equal distant north, south, east , west points. Then add eggs needed to complete row. This will ensure even spacing. Large gaps can be filled with flowers.
