Krylon® Announces Second Annual Clear Choice Art Scholarship Program

Scholarships Available to U.S. and Canadian High School and College Students

CLEVELAND — Krylon®, inventor of the first aerosol clear coatings to preserve priceless artwork, announces its Second Annual Clear Choice Art Scholarships. The program will award $12,300 in money, grants and art supplies to future artists and their schools, including five $1,000 scholarships and five $500 grants for winners’ high schools.

“Krylon is proud to invest in and recognize the artists of tomorrow by awarding scholarships that help them pursue their dreams today while also meeting rising tuition costs,” says Michelle Neuhauser, Krylon product manager. “To show our support for the artist and their high schools, each of the winners’ high school art programs will also receive a package of our artist sprays and adhesives, from which multiple students can benefit.”

The scholarship program is open to high school seniors and college freshmen and sophomores in the United States and Canada. Students are required to submit a portfolio, artist’s statement, letter of recommendation and transcripts.

In addition to the $1,000 scholarships, the five recipients will receive a package of Krylon artist sprays and adhesives for use in their work worth approximately $70. Each of the high schools from which they will or have graduated from will be given a package worth $250. Ten additional students and their high schools will receive gift packages as well.

Scholarship applications are due by May 31, 2010. To download the application form or for more information about the Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarships, visit www.krylon.com/art.
