Krylon® Offers Artists the Industry's Best Non-Yellowing, UV Protection With It's New UV Archival Varnish
Varnish Effectively Protects Artwork Not Framed Under Glass
CLEVELAND—More and more artists are foregoing glass when framing their artwork, making UV protection all that more critical. Krylon® now offers its new UV Archival Varnish, which contains the industry’s highest UV protection in an artist-quality varnish.
Containing advanced levels of hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) and UV absorber (UVA), this non-yellowing varnish provides superior durability and protection in a flexible, fast-drying finish that can be easily removed for conservation purposes.
UV Archival Varnish effectively guards against fading, dirt, moisture and discoloration and is available in four sheens – gloss, semi-gloss, satin and matte – allowing artists to select invisible protection or an enhanced gloss level for their particular medium. It protects acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, colored pencil, oil, digital prints and more.
UV Archival Varnish is part of Krylon’s new Gallery Series™ – a comprehensive line of the highest quality sprays designed to help artists protect, preserve and beautify their artwork and overall vision. The line also includes a Conservation Varnish, Conservation Retouch Varnish, Quick Dry for Oil Paintings and Fine Art Fixatif.
The full line is now available at fine art and craft stores. UV Archival Varnish is available in 11 oz. aerosol and retails for $12.99 to $15.99. For more information on the complete Gallery Series line, visit www.krylon.com.
