Poorly designed nozzle for the material
While this product might give a great finish to oils, acrylics, watercolor, and colored pencil, if you can't get it out of the can, what good is it? The two cans I purchased had exactly the same problem - it would spray for a few seconds, enough time to start spraying the work, when suddenly it would spray a gooey stream. I was able to wipe it from the work without a problem the first time but the second time it happened, I ruined a watercolor on canvas completely. Not a happy girl here. And I was told that this stuff is like magic for oil paintings so I'm not sure what kind of magic they're talking about but it magically ruined a piece of work.
I have soaked the nozzles in paint thinner to no avail. Maybe the hole needs to be bigger, I don't know. I do know that I won't purchase this product again.

Love the product BUT.....
The product works very good. I would have given it 5 stars instead of 4 but the problem I have is this......the design of the nozzle and stem that activates the spray is horrible. EVERY can I get (and, I get a lot because I work as an artist and I draw and paint quickly, so I have a high turn around)....but, every can I get, I can only get to use about half of the can and it stops spraying out. I have tried warm water, paint thinner and then I realized there is no stem in the can, like a hairspray can. There is a very short stem on the nozzle and after a certain point the varnish makes the activator stick down in the can, or something and the nozzle does not reach. making the can useless to use. I can take off the nozzle and stick a pin or tooth pick in the can and the spray will come out. put the nozzle back on it doesn't come out. I have to return every can half used or throw it out and get another. I go through a few a week. So , you need a new design so people who use the product often can use the whole can of spray and not get frustrated. Every other can I have looked at on other products,,,,have a stem in the can and the nozzle on top. Not a nozzle with the shortest stem that doesn't reach the activator in the can.....makes no sense. PLEASE FIX THIS.

L <3 ve this product!
As an artist, I need to protect my paintings, whether they go in someone's home or in a gallery. I was nervous when I sprayed my first painting after putting so much time into it. I watched people spray their artwork on You tube and tried it. It totally enhanced my paintings! The dull black and all the other colors got richer. I'm so glad I got to have a good outcome with Kamar Varnish. Don't be intimidated. Just use sweeping motions, from side to side, or top to bottom, making sure to go off the edge of the surface. Let it dry and spray the edges. It may not need a second coat. Remember, try to not breath the fumes and go outside of your living area, so the fumes don't linger or get on anything you don't want it on in your home. The only issue I'm dealing with is high humidity, which the can says not to spray on those days. If you have an excellent exhaust system, you may be able to spray indoors. The benefits of sealing artwork and getting a museum quality look is well worth the challenges of using it. It's a great product!
