Materials
- Plain wooden box or cigar box
- Magazines
- Elmer’s glue
General Supplies
- Needle nose pliers
Instructions
- For the straight straws, cut magazine pages in rectangles that are about 6” x 4”. You are going to need a lot of these. I’d say at least 150.
-
Roll them in to small tubes and glue the ends so they stay in place with a tiny dot of Elmer’s. I do this while watching a movie because it takes some time. Don’t worry, it’s addicting and you can’t stop once you start.
- For the beautiful paper disks cut out your magazine pages into strips that are about 11” x 1 1/2”
- Roll them in to tubes and glue the ends so they stay in place with a tiny dot of Elmer’s.
-
Grab the end of the tube with the tip of the needle nose pliers and twist the tube around it to create your disk.
- Dab a dot of Elmer’s on the end to keep it in place.
- Make these in different sizes by adding tubes to make them bigger.
-
Decide what your design will be on the box and start gluing them on your box.
-
Once your box is finished, spray paint it with Krylon Indoor/Outdoor paint.
-
When dry, lightly spray the box with the Krylon Glitter Blast Starry Night.
