-
In a well-ventilated space, cover a flat surface with a drop cloth or tarp.
-
Before starting, read the Krylon® labels for safety, application, and dry time instructions.
-
In an area separate from where you will spray paint, lightly sand the dresser and drawers. Use a clean rag to remove any sanding dust, ensuring that the surface of the dresser and drawers are clean, dull, and dry before painting.
-
Place the dresser and drawers on the drop cloth making sure to leave enough room between each to avoid overspray. Remove any hardware or cover with painterâs tape if you are unable to remove it.
-
Cover the sides of the drawers using newspaper and painterâs tape.
-
Using Krylon® COLORmaxx in Gloss Navy Blue, spray paint the dresser frame and the front of the drawers. When the COLORmaxx is dry to the touch, remove the painterâs tape to protect from overspray.
-
When the COLORmaxx is completely dry, cover the front of the drawers with newspaper and painterâs tape.
-
Using a high-quality paint brush, apply Krylon Brilliant Metallic Brush-On in Silver to the sides of the drawers and allow 3 hours to fully dry.
-
When the Brilliant Metallic Brush-On is fully dry, use a high-quality paint brush to apply Krylon Glitter Finish in Silver on top of the Brilliant Metallic Brush-On. For buildable coverage, apply 1, 2, or 3 coats of Glitter Finish. The more coats applied, the more opaque the Glitter Finish will appear.
-
When you are satisfied with the Glitter Finish coverage, remove any remaining painterâs tape when the paint is dry to the touch. When the paint is fully dry, reattach the hardware and slide the drawers back into place.
-
Start every day on a high note with bright, durable metallic finish and a pop of glitter!
