Sand down the wooden boards using medium grit sandpaper. Remove any excess dust or debris using a tack cloth.
-
In a well-ventilated area away from any dust or debris, cover a large flat surface using a drop cloth.
-
Using painter's tape, cover the entire surface of both cornhole boards leaving only an inch around the outer border and two upside down V shapes exposed on each.
-
After reading the product label for proper application and safety instructions, paint the exposed borders and V shapes with Krylon® Chalky Finish Paint in Classic White.
-
Remove the painters tape when the Classic White is dry to touch to avoid chipping the paint once it is fully dried.
-
Once the paint has fully dried, tape off the areas painted in Classic White, as well the bottom portion of the boards from the first V shape down.
-
Using Krylon® Chalky Finish Paint in Tidal Blue, paint the top portion of the cornhole board.
-
Remove painter’s tape when Tidal Blue is dry to touch.
-
Once the paint is fully dried, apply painters tape to the area with Classic White and Tidal Blue, leaving the bottom portion of the cornhole board exposed.
-
Paint the bottom portion of the cornhole board with Krylon® Chalky Finish Paint in Ultramarine.
-
Before removing the painter's tape and when the product is dry to touch, apply Krylon® Chalky Finish Wax Coating in Dark Brown to add a unique, timeworn appearance. Work in small areas, removing any excess wax by wiping with a dry, lint-free cloth.
-
Within 15 minutes of application, buff the wax to the desired finish to achieve a subtle sheen and additional protection.
-
Remove all tape once the wax is dry to touch. Once fully dried, coat boards with Chalky Finish Clear Sealer to protect the finish.
