Spraying of Second Coat Destroyed My Project
I have a heavy plastic mannequin that I wanted to paint a more natural color. I didn't primer it but I did clean it with rubbing alcohol to make sure it was free of any dirt and oils. After spraying this the first time, the mannequin looked flawless, and that's where I now wish I'd have left it. But these get banged around quite a bit, and a second coat is necessary.
It's been almost a week since I applied the first coat. After spraying on the first pass of the second coat, areas that were a little heavier with paint (not to the point of dripping) started to crackle and bubble up. Completely dissolving the first coat. My mannequin looks like she's part lizard (no offence to lizards), and everything is ruined.
Now I will have to spend hours cleaning off all the paint with mineral spirits, and start completely over. So much time down the drain. Disappointed doesn't come close.
Thanks Krylon. Nowhere could I find any warnings that this can happen.

2 out of 5 cans were not the same shade!
I have used Krylon for years, been a good go to spray paint. But my last five cans purchased at Walmart were inconsistent. Two were more grey in color than the other three, all labels were the same, all upc codes the same, all lids the same. Not ok. The paint is a little thinner than it used to be, but if thin lite coats are done, it turns out well on metal. The voc smell was a bit much but it did dissipate after a week or so.

Thin. Poor coverage.
This product is awful. Even spraying White over an Antique White base took SEVERAL thick coats just to cover the Antique White. Good luck if you have a deep color or black. Will avoid from now on and will advise others to as well. 25% more paint thinner I think is what they did.

No good on finish coat!!!
On the first coat, it was as smooth as glass... As i applied the second coat it shrunk and left it all looking textured!!! why??? I'm not happy with the end results...

Runs like crazy, color match is horrible, transparent.
I've never seen a need to review a spray paint but this one was so BAD I felt I needed to. Sprayed a can of "25% More, No Runs, No Drips, No Errors" in Satin Burgundy. I have been using Krylon here and there through out the years and never had paint that runs this bad. Sprayed some pine in a ultra light coat (I could still see wood) so that it was only misting paint on. Was MUCH lighter than cap was too, more of a dark cherry/cranberry color on coat 3. This is going to require probably 6+ coats to get even close to the darkness of the cap, still not sure if it will get that close. This is also the most transparent Paint+Primer I have ever used, I can still see wood grain clearly after 3 coats. I would 100% NEVER suggest this to anyone unless it was free, even then I would tell them to use anything else first. Sorry Krylon, this product does not hold up to even decent standards.This might be the end of me ever buying Krylon again.

I've always used Krylon, but over the years the changes that have been made especially with the formula of paint that is not as thick as it used to be. Changing the nozzle on the cans have left many running to "oleum".
If only Krylon would make the paint better and return all paint back to old nozzles would be a huge comeback.

Painted wood kitchen cabinet doors
This paint worked for painting wooden cabinet doors. I did have to do a few coats, however the finish was smooth and even.

Gloss White Kitchen Cabinet Doors
Beautiful smooth, glossy finish and outcome! Some helpful hints I learned along the way for existing, factory-painted, wood, kitchen cabinet doors:
1) Remove cabinet doors. Make sure paint work area is free from dusty environments and/or disruptive air currents or other sources (such as, outdoor wind).
2) Remove door hardware or hide hardware and door bumpers with painter's blue tape on all items not to be painted and lay protective plastic sheeting or drop cloths to protect the paint work area.
3) Damp-wipe all surfaces that will be painted with clean, damp cloths. Let dry or wipe with clean, dry towels and then do a final settled dust clean with tack cloths.
4) Acclimatize both paint can(s) and materials to be painted by leaving both inside the same paint work area for at least 12 hours before painting. Make sure the temperature is at, or near room temp, around 72-degrees F (or higher at outdoor temps). Suggest not painting on rainy days with high humidity.
5) Prior to painting, initially shake can for at least one minute (after ball moves) before painting, and shake throughout the painting process using smooth, back-and-forth strokes. Make two passes perpendicular to each other. As a precaution, suggest waiting at least two hours before turning the material 90 degrees and applying the second pass. Repeat, if needed, diagonally at 90 degrees F.
6) Lightly sand any imperfections or bumps with 220 sand paper and touch up with spray paint as needed.
7) Re-install cabinet doors.
8) Recommended suggestions: examine finished product after 12 hours. If satisfied , wait 24 hours before re-installing doors. As an added precaution, avoid harsh cleaning or scrubbing until the paint has time to fully cure and harden after a week or so.
