Does not allow re-working of Colored Pencil.
I purchased this 'Workable Fixatif' product for use with my Colored Pencils, but recently found out that while this product works well with media such as graphite and charcoal it is highly misleading in its description. This product only works so long as you still have tooth from the paper itself, however once that tooth is gone you are out of luck. If you use this product on Colored Pencil, your luck is even worse, as attempting to re-work the piece causes the color to flake off and destroy your hard work and I had to learn that the hard way.
If your paper is out of tooth, look for something else, otherwise this is great for sealing and finishing something off. I won't be coming back to this product though... after refunding a customer one can has cost me nearly $100.00US, and that's unacceptable.

Using it for years but recently had bad can, the sprayer just erupted on me...
I use this product for a good many years and last time I purchased 2 cans at a time. The 1st can had no issues and once it was out, I reached for the second can only to have the sprayer fail and erupt. It spatter out the tip with no way to stop it. I had to run it outside to the trash. Unfortunately it got all over my work that I was planing to apply it too as well as my carpet. I had gray spots/stains everywhere, even on my trash can lids. Luckily, I was able to clean up the carpet with Folex, but artwork is ruined. I think there needs to be some QC here.

This product works quite well on most papers and mediums, and doesn't tend to smudge work. It does cause mild corner raising on some papers, including the Strathmore Toned Tan sketch paper, but is reasonably gentle on detailed mediums and is a preferred, affordable fixatif for artists.
